Living in California, we know that April through September marks the peak season for California Avocados. And that’s a tip we want to share with you because now is the perfect time to add this versatile fruit to your summer barbecues.
As chefs, we love that the California Avocado peak season – when the fruit is at its freshest and most flavorful – coincides with summer because avocados are such a wonderful complement to so many summer dishes. We can honestly say there is nothing more delicious than a California Avocado in the summertime, with a touch of extra virgin olive oil and a little sea salt. And without a lot of effort, you can add that creamy texture and delicious flavor we love so much to a variety of foods, including burgers, salads and sandwiches.
Each summer, we make it a point to take full advantage of the abundance of premium avocados available in the markets. This amazing fruit always inspires us to come up with new recipes perfect for casual summer meals.
