LEMON-LIME GUACAMOLE
Recipe Provided By the California Avocado Commission
Two citrus juices give this guacamole twice the zing.
Ingredients
- 3.000 3 ripe, Fresh California Avocados, seeded, peeled and mashed
- 3.000 3 tomatoes, peeled, seeded and diced
- 0.250 ¼ cupminced onion
- 1.000 1 lime, juiced and rind grated
- 2.000 2 Tbsp.lemon juice
- 0.500 ½ tsp.salt (coarse, if possible)
- 0.500 ½ cupmayonnaise
- 1.000 1 cupsour cream
- 3.000 3 dash hot pepper sauce
Instructions
- Mix together all ingredients.
Serving Suggestions:
Garnish with parsley, if desired.
*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
Guacamole is best made as close to serving as possible. For short-term storage, seal in an airtight container with a piece of plastic wrap against the surface of the guacamole.
