ripe medium CALIFORNIA AVOCADO, seeded and peeled

green onion, finely chopped

Instructions
- In a medium bowl, with a fork, mash avocado (similar to the way the Padres homerun hitters mash the Braves pitching staff).
- Stir in green onion and dill.
- Cover and chill briefly.
- Use this tasty and colorful avocado shmear in place of mayonnaise on your favorite sandwich.
- For each sandwich, spread about 2 tablespoons on slices of rye or whole wheat bread and add your choice of fillings such as sliced turkey, tomato and lettuce, or serve as a spread on crackers, bagel crisps or small party breads while you cheer on your Padres!
*Large avocados are recommended for this recipe. A large avocado averages about 8 ounces. If using smaller or larger size avocados adjust the quantity accordingly.
